10th Day of the 31 Days of Halloween

What is a Skeleton’s favorite song.
Bad to the Bone

One of my favorite stamping techniques is masking. You stamp an image on a piece of copy paper and cut it out. Then stamp the image on your project. Use the mask to cover the image and then stamp another image, the mask will protect a part of the first image. Confusing.....????

In the above photo, I started with "Who's There" from Third Coast , I made a mask of it, the trees and the skull, First stamping the door way, mask and stamp the trees ( Two Creepy Trees, Third Coast), mask the trees and the door and stamp skulls(Skull with splatters - Third Coast), and mask the skulls as needed.

And since I am hooked on my iPhone, I took a photo and ran it through several apps, finishing with WordFoto , an app in which you enter a phrase and then it applies the words to the photo.

Star of Wonder

Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beaming light ....

I enjoy using this "Artifacts " star from Stampin'UP! It is reminiscent of the support rod ends in the old brick homes in St.Louis.

I've been struggling to pull projects together for the 12 Days , and have been determined to get something posted.

This stated out as a leftover card element from a swap several years ago. It's been shoved around in my scrap paper bin waiting for a project. I picked it up and found it went well with some printed Christmas tissue paper. I took its picture and edited it through several iPhone apps. Picture Show, Picfx, and Impression ( it adds the text).

This photo shows editing in progress after Picture Show App.

I love using the iPhone as a creative tool and in my head I pretend the monthly fee is part of what I would spend on art supplies during that month.

Funny thought!

Here's the original "capture ".

Neon along the Morgan Ford

It's addictive, iPhone photography...I can't just take a photo.

I can't just crop it or adjust the contrast.

So many photo apps.... And only 7 gigs of space remaining.

Time to weed the collection.

Echo - Fauna

Our task must be to free ourselves...
by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures
and the whole of nature and its beauty.
Albert Einstein

Memorial Day 2010 we toured Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery as dusk approached. Even with relatively heavy traffic at 7pm in the evening, the Park deer were grazing on the damp grass. I'm always amazed at the fauna of urban areas, but being so close to the Mississippi River I shouldn't be surprised. I had seen their presence, on previous visits, as they had  dined on flowers left at my parents grave. This was the first time I had seen them in action. Peaceful and perfect.

Donna 4 Squared

I've been playing this weekend over on http://www.scrapinstyletv.com/ They are having an "sisiversay" celebration with fun tutorials, on-line classes and challenges. I found the photo scavenger hunt to fit it best with my current art pursuits. But all is fun there. You may need to sign in to get to the forums, but it's free.
http://www.scrapinstyletv.com/forums/39_33939_0.html this is the link to the scavenger hunt, there are lots of other challenges as well.!
My photo was taken with the iPhone and modified with the Art Camera Application, I then adjusted the color a bit to pull in some more orange. The challenge was to take a self-portrait and in your portrait incorporate each color of the rainbow...in any way you choose. I have a large star, each point is a different color. I thought it would probably show up in the Art Camera application, as assorted colors. It did!!!
