When I looked at you echo of whisper I was reminded of a children's song the chorus go's like this "we light our lamps when it darkens, and when all sounds wrapped in cotton wool. Yes, we light our lamps when it darkens, maybe they will illuminate the evening to say good night." Here is a YouTube film they sing in Norwegian though.
